Mourinho in his pre-match press conference ahead of the game with West Brom said Rahman’s strengths would be key to Chelsea’s title defence.
"He's our pure left-back, because (Cesar) Azpilicueta is an adaptation," explained Mourinho.
"He's left-footed, a left-back, the offensive one, the one that has a cross, has a pass, and likes to go forward. I would say he's a younger Filipe Luis.
"Filipe Luis is a good player, that’s why he plays for Atletico (Madrid) and for the Brazil national team. Baba is a young Filipe – Filipe is 30, Baba is 21."
